A day at sea - 31 July

After 6 consecutive port days, the opportunity for a bit of rest was much appreciated, particularly by the knees & ankles. Easy morning on board with some wandering and a latte, then met a very pleasant couple from Canada for easy talking.

A junk food snack for lunch and more relaxation. Pat spotted a good size pod of dolphins (20+) just off our balcony so we watched them pass by as they leapt out of the water off our side.

Had an Invitation to the Captain's Circle event with some entertainment - did not win the door prizes, but collected two free drink vouchers. Second formal night for dinner tonigh and the Allegro Dining Room, and most guests, looked very smart. Enjoyed a very nice risotto with one and a half lobster tails for main, and a creme brulee (an almost every night desert for me).

Off then to tonight's show - a full blown production of the musical "The Secret Silk" with 17 cast members (4 Australian) and outstanding staging, sets, animation, lighting and performances. Just incredible how such a production can be staged and brought to life in a cruise ship theatre.

Early night to tonight as we have to be off the ship very early for a full day in the Scottish highlands.
